BeebInC - What is it?
It is a program that attempts to reproduce all of the hardware functioning
of Acorn BBC Model 'B' Computer. The result of which is that software
written for the BBC should run on your PC.
System Requirements
I suggest a minimum of a 80486 DX4-100. It has only been tested on 486's and
pentiums. It might run on a 80386, albeit slowly. It reportedly runs fine
on a 486 DX2-66.
Bench marks
Without the scanlines option and with no sound, it runs at approximately
110% BBC speed on my 80486 DX4-100 with an old Cirrus Logic VLB video
card. This includes totally redrawing the screen 25 times an emulated
'second'.
